Property Highlighter
Installation
See the Add-On installation guide for details.
Open Property Highlighter Palette
You can open Property Palette through one of the following entry points:
- Go to Options menu and select Property Highlighter from the list.
- Go to Window / Palettes menu and select Property Highlighter from the list.
Select the property for highlighting
Click the button at the top of the palette to open the property selection popup. Choose the property you want to use for highlighting. The values of the selected property are automatically gathered from your model, and elements are highlighted with corresponding colors.
If a property is unavailable for an element, the element will appear as a wireframe. If the property is unavailable for all elements in the model, the highlight of the model will be removed.
You can recalculate values at any time by clicking the refresh button at the top left corner of the dialog. To disable highlighting, click the disable button next to the refresh button.
Settings
You can access various options by clicking the settings button in the top-right corner of the palette. After modifying a setting, click the refresh button in the top-left corner of the palette.
These settings are saved to preferences. The following settings are available:
- All Elements: Highlight all elements in the current project
- Only Elements in the Current View: Highlight only elements visible in the current view.
- Use Transparent Highlight: Use transparent highlight color in 3D. This works only if transparency is enabled in the 3D window.
- Show Non-Matching Criteria: Display property values that do not match any elements in the model.
- Show Chart: Show or hide the chart at the bottom of the palette.
